The race will officially end at 8 hours and 30 minutes after the final wave start. Aid station stops, transitions, etc., will be included in your total elapsed time. Splits will be recorded for each segment of the race. The following cut-off times apply for each segment of the race:
SWIM: 70 minutes after start of the last swim wave. Any athlete who has not finished the swim by 70 minutes will not be permitted to continue in the race.
BIKE: Five hours and 30 minutes after the start of the last swim wave. Any athlete that has not finished the bike course within five hours and 30 minutes will not be permitted to continue in the race.
RUN: Eight hours and 30 minutes is the official course time limit. There will be one run course cut-off to ensure that all runners will be off the course by the time limit. The run course cut-off will be monitored by the on course marshall. If you have not completed the run course by the alloted 8 hours and 30 minutes cut off time, you will be not be permitted to continue. We will also have a roaming ice vehicle, so that you will be able to access ice in between aid stations
At anytime during the race, if medical personnel determines that it is in your best interest to not continue the remainder of the Ironman 70.3, please cooperate. This is for your safety. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation of this system.
